What American Voters Should Learn from the Vladimir Putin Interview /w Tucker Carlson

PoliticalArena watched the Tucker Carlson interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin carefully. To our pleasant surprise he said much of what we expected him to say.

Hillary Clinton in reaction to the interview said that all Putin does is tell lies. Maybe he does but holding that same standard to both sides, the Clinton and Biden Administrations lied to us almost every day. The string of hoaxes about Trump and Russia and Ukraine are only two examples of dozens.

The reality is that Putin would have been foolish to lie to Tucker Carlson for several reasons.

The first reason is that this interview is one of the most watched events in media history, blowing away most if not all Super Bowls. Every word uttered will be fact checked by every honest and dishonest fact checker.

The second reason is the recent press reports revealing that Tucker is wildly popular in Russia. If Putin was caught lying it would undermine his domestic credibility.

The third reason is perhaps the most obvious. Tucker Carlson is not interested in putting on a show for the corporate press. Putin understands that and takes Tucker seriously. Putin has a record of mocking “journalists” who are interested in putting on a show with a series of ‘zingers’ designed to make the corporate journalist look like a fool.

As far as the thirty-minute history lesson Putin treated us to, Putin knows that most Americans have never been exposed to the historical context of that part of the world. It was not thirty minutes wasted.

President Putin was wiping his feet on that history to make the case that much of Ukraine was considered part of Russia for hundreds of years. Putin also explained to Tucker that part of what is now Ukraine was a part of Hungary and the people there still speak Hungarian.

Tucker asked Putin if he invited Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to take back some of the land Hungary had lost and Putin said, “Never,” exposing a certain hypocrisy. We are also quite certain that if Putin were asked if most of the West Bank in Israel should be taken away from the Palestinian Authority because historically that land was the Jewish provinces of Judea and Samaria, it is likely he would reject the idea.

Historical arguments to who controlled what land do have some merit, but it does not trump better arguments such as a people who are interested in peaceful self-auto determination.

As we predicted, Putin did bring up that NATO and the United States promised multiple times not to move NATO east towards the Russian border. A promise that was broken in a short time:

After the Soviet Union fell and the Russians abandoned communism, Putin explained how Russia reached out to the West for help. President Boris Yeltsin addressed Congress in his famous God Bless America speech. The truth is that diplomatically we slapped that hand away again and again.

Putin explained how he offered to have Russia join with NATO to help isolate the threat of militant Islam, after being told yes Russia was later told no.

Putin explained to Tucker that several times American Presidents and their senior officials have made agreements that would bring closer relations between Russia and the West but each time the State Department or the CIA would follow-up with a “no.” Putin openly asked Tucker if elected presidents really run the United States.

A prescient question to be sure, as now we know that by and large it is the donor class and mega-corporations such as BigTech, BigPharma and defense contractors that have run the country in league with what is known as “the deep state” or “the swamp.”

Look at our foreign policy since Bush the elder. Time and time again we have offended and provoked Russia. A prime example is Clinton’s meddling and bombing in the former Yugoslavia (Serbia, Kosovo etc.). Those military campaigns were completely unnecessary.

Reflecting on our foreign policy since the end of the Cold War and what Putin revealed about repeated diplomatic efforts being slapped away have us wondering if the American people have been manipulated.

President Eisenhower warned us of the political power and influence of the military/industrial complex. What would have happened to those industries if the United States and Russia became true allies akin to the relationship we enjoy with Britain?

Have we been manipulated?

Did the Military Industrial Complex use its influence to supplant Russia for USSR in our foreign policy to keep global arms trade going? To test our defense technology against Russian tech in continued proxy wars and engagements? Peace is unprofitable.

Why is the Ukraine War the only war in history that for some reason is not allowed to come to a negotiated settlement?

And of course, the big winner of all this is China. As Russia, China and Iran have grown geopolitically together because, at least in part, due to our foreign policy and alarmist energy policy. China, and to a much lesser part Iran, were the only powers left standing for Russia to ally with. Trump was right in 2015 when he said that we should be friends with Russia and should have been a long time ago.

The completely unnecessary Ukraine conflict has accelerated pushing China and Russia together. China wins again. It is no secret that the deep state/establishment and mega-corporations often do China’s bidding.

Putin also told tucker that Biden’s biggest strategic mistake was using the dollar as a trade weapon.

Why is that a mistake?

The dollar is the world reserve currency. Transactions between countries are made in U.S. Dollars. Large oil and commodities transactions are made using the dollar. Because of this all countries maintain a stockpile of American dollars, which are now being made less valuable because the Biden Administration has been deliberately weakening the dollar through inflation.

Using international institutions and banks to stop these transactions is perhaps the ultimate trade barrier. Other countries have seen this and became very concerned. If they bucked the will of the Biden Administration would the United States do the same to them?

As a result, OPEC nations and other countries are moving away from the Dollar as fast as they can. Some are using the Chinese Yen. Others have teamed together and created a new global currency competitor called BRICS, which will weaken the dollar even further.

PoliticalArena has warned that weaponizing the dollar is a mistake. We fully expected Putin to mention this and are pleased he did, as you will never see reports LIKE THIS in American corporate press.
