The Supreme Court did not take the position that “student loan forgiveness is bad” as one might think by watching corporate media. The court simply said that a law used to suspend student loans and other benefits for students going off to fight with the military after the 9/11 attacks could not be used to give student loan forgiveness to everyone. President Biden simply did not have the statutory authority to do it and to get it he needs to get approval from Congress. The issue is literally just that simple.
