Beware of Fake Endorsements

Democrats running as Republicans in certain districts because they could not get elected with a ‘D’ by their name is nothing new.

In short, a Democrat/lefty would lie in their mailers, lie to the local party and when in office start grifting for as much personal gain possible while sabotaging Republican legislative priorities whenever they could get away with it.

If you ever wondered why Democrats seem to usually get their way even when Republicans have majorities in the state house or Congress this is a part of the problem. Yours truly was involved in politics at the state level for many years and has seen this firsthand since the 90’s.

Nowhere is this tactic used more brazenly than in Texas. These fake Republicans will put out mailers telling constituents that they are the next Donald Trump, are funded by teachers’ unions and other interests, get into office and are so bold that they vote for Democrat committee chairs and actively sabotage legislative efforts against school choice, insurance reform, ethics reform, border enforcement, and even protect the Chinese Communist Party by sabotaging legislation preventing the Chinese government from buying up land near our military bases.

Texans are getting wise to this after the bogus Ken Paxton impeachment and the blowback has county party machines pushing back as well. [NOTE: Paxton was acquitted by the state Senate.]

One of the latest tactics being used by the fakes running for the state house in Texas is announcing endorsements that are just lies. They put on their web page and campaign materials that they are endorsed by Governor Abbott, Ted Cruz etc. when in fact it was their opponent who was endorsed.

A tactic used by Democrats in Indiana is to pick a stooge to run as a libertarian, fund mailers telling voters he is “the real conservative,” and run a campaign in hopes of pealing 3-6% off the Republican vote.
