UK Labour Party Rocked by Long String of Resignations Over Support for Israel
How did so many antisemites get in Labour Party leadership?
Several office holders and party councillors for the leftist UK Labour Party have resigned over the party decision to support Israel after the October 7th attacks by Hamas which left 1,400 people dead, 3,700 injured, 30 Americans killed, and hundreds taken hostage.
Middle East Monitor:
A number of councillors from the UK’s main opposition Labour Party have resigned in the past days in protest over party leader, Keir Starmer’s support for what he called Israel’s “right” to cut power and water supplies to Palestinians living in Gaza.
(NOTE: Israel said that utilities would be restored if the hostages were released.)
Some prominent leading members of the shadow cabinet and other senior party members have made similar remarks in defense of Israel’s latest actions, including Emily Thornberry, the shadow Attorney-General; John Healey, the shadow Defence Minister and David Lammy, the shadow Foreign Secretary.

Commenting on Starmer’s response to the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza, Ahmed said: “Nobody will forget how Starmer chose to be a cheerleader of war crimes and collective punishment. He could have called for de-escalation but, instead, he contributed to the chorus of voices which enabled the genocide we are now seeing. Arab and Muslim communities will not forget this.”
Other Labour Party Councillors Mona Ahmed, Amna Abdullatif, Shaista Aziz, Amar Latif, Lynne Jones, and Lubaba Khalid also resigned.
The left is constantly accusing moderates and conservatives who support common sense border and immigration controls of being racists and antisemites, but it is obvious there are no Trump supporters among these groups openly supporting Hamas’ terrorism.
In the United States the far-left Democratic Party has blocked resolutions in the Senate condemning disturbing hate filled demonstrations calling for Israel to be “decolonized” - the new code word for “the final solution.”
Democrats have also blocked a resolution calling for President Biden to comply with the law forcing the deportation of VISA holders who openly support Hamas and/or other terror groups.
