The Department of Homeland Security propagandizes to law enforcement that anyone who supports immigration law by opposing open borders, or does not believe corporate media, supports third party candidates, wants the Federal Reserve audited to actually be accountable to Congress, or will not submit to the United Nations is somehow an enemy of the state, and dehumanized thus making it easier to pull the trigger on regular Americans.
