Decades of limited, “tit for tat” warfare led to this mass death.
History from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan proves that the concept of limited warfare is an abject failure.
When Bush the Elder pulled out of Iraq without finishing the job, we all knew we would be back, and it was worse the second time.
It was no different in Vietnam with defense Secretary McNamara's view of limited war. We fought the NVA to the point of a negotiated surrender, then McNamara would have the generals back off, then when the enemy rearmed and regrouped, we were on them again... then back off. Rinse, repeat until Vietnam was lost.
Warmongers love the half-finished job because it virtually guarantees future wars. The “industrial military complex” really is a thing. Lara Logan went on and on in her interview with Tucker Carlson how the Pentagon made the active choice to not close the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan allowing Pakistan to reinforce and rearm the Taliban.
Why is it that only Israeli's are held to the "Proportional Response" standard?

Was Hiroshima and Nagasaki proportional? When the police send a SWAT team with armored vehicles against a robber with a handgun or a knife is that proportional? When Hamas beheaded 40 children with an armed force was that proportional?
When people are trying to break into my home, do I seek out a weapon that is proportional or do I get whatever tool is best suited to eliminate the threat?
Blaming Israel for civilian deaths in Gaza, when Hamas deliberately uses (often willing) human shields, is like blaming us for what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Whatever force is necessary to end the threat is justified, doubly so when the government doing evil has robust popular support as Emperor Hirohito had in WWII Japan and Hamas enjoys in Gaza.
Hamas’ headquarters is under a hospital. Talk to us again about proportional?
No one in Gaza would be in danger if the genocidal maniacs had remained peaceful.
In most any conflict it is the aggressor who sets the rules. There is no way to rehabilitate a terrorist’s death cult mindset. There should be no concept of a “humanitarian war” when this enemy lacks humanity and despises civilization.
According to the Geneva Convention, terrorists are treated as bandits or spies - the rules of war do not apply to them. This is one reason why spies are often executed and not held as POW’s.
Was Germany the victim in WWII? After all Germany lost more people than America so it wasn’t proportional! Give me a break.
Money is fungible.
In exchange for hostages, the Biden Administration gave $6 billion in “humanitarian aid" funds to Iran and now we have over 100 hostages taken by Iranian controlled Hamas.
It does not matter if third parties are spending that money for Iran to make certain it is used for the welfare of the general population. The is $6 billion Iran does not have to spend taking care of its people frees up other money which can be used to wage terror wars around the world. The same goes for aid to Gaza. A lesson that Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby fails to realize.
Hamas brags online how they use water pipes and other humanitarian assistance to make rockets and other weapons:
Israel must develop a martial culture like Texas and Switzerland.
Israeli had a double barrier wall around Gaza complete with electronic surveillance and watch towers. They have “Iron Dome” missile defense.
Jews thought there were safe, they weren’t. Hamas used weaponized drones to take out the watch towers. Hamas overwhelmed Iron Dome with thousands of rockets. Hamas found a way around much of the electronic surveillance. Hamas, after defeating much of the surveillance, used a bulldozer to penetrate the walls and used powered para-gliders to fly into Israel proper.
Until this week, Israel had very restrictive gun laws making it difficult for citizens, most of whom actually have served in the IDF, to own rifles and handguns. After decades of attacks, Israel is just now more willing to let citizens defend themselves.

Culturally, Israel must become more like Switzerland and Texas to survive.
Israel is surrounded by enemies. The events of this week demonstrate once again that government, even operating at its best, fails at protecting citizens.
When the hurricane hit the Houston area open carry became the rule, and we don't mean just pistols. The Houston metro-complex is huge, yet only two looters were shot and 40 arrested. Can you imagine if a similar disaster hit Baltimore or Philly or Chicago?
The only thing Hamas should have found when they broke through that wall is a rifle behind every blade of grass. Make it so anyone would be nuts to look for trouble there. Mexico messed with Texas and wanted no part of that again for a hundred years. Criminals in Texas are stopped by armed citizens every day.

What happened to Never Again? This crap has been going on for decades. This time Israel cannot stop until Hamas is gone forever and if that means Dresden, so be it.
