Senators Hawley and Lee Destroy Dishonest FBI Bureaucrats in Senate Hearing
It is amazing that they think that anyone believes them anymore. We have been covering abuses by the FBI for a long time.
Surveillance powers and spy tools have been abused almost from the time the FBI was created. After Congress cracked down in the 70’s abuses subsided but went full tilt again after passage of the Patriot Act.
Again, and again and again the claim has been “oops we were incompetent.” Only a fool would believe that today. These two Senators certainly don’t:
