Presidential candidates attended the Family Leadership Summit today. It did not go well for most of them.
Tucker Carlson asked questions on subjects that most of the DC/power elite never even consider but are fresh on the minds of regular voters who tend to vote Republican.
Carlson illustrated that most of these candidates are all but completely divorced from the voters they claim to represent. A case of “they just don’t get it” on steroids.
The most outstanding exception was Vivek Ramaswamy, who was not only prepared for everything that Tucker threw at him but had answers that cut to core truths that other candidates are either unaware of or are too timid to address.
Worst of all, Mike Pence ended his political career today basically admitting that the concerns of every day working Republican voters are just not his concern. At least he was honest about that fact that he doesn’t care.
Editor’s Note: Some pundits are trying to rescue Pence, Tim Scott and others who said after the fact that we can save our cities, veterans and homeless and win Ukraine at the same time so our reporting and others who took our take are not accurate. We want readers to know that such an argument is beyond spin. Why? They are pounding the table in Congress and in the corporate media to win Ukraine and remove Putin. They are NOT pounding the table to save our homeless veterans, stop fentanyl, and fix our cities.
Candidate Asa Hutchinson also had a bad day. Pressuring people to give up their medical choices is not only a violation of the Nuremberg Code but is unamerican. Governor Hutchinson was not ready for these questions:
Glenn Beck says below that he had never seen anyone burst into flames as fast as Hutchinson under Tucker’s questioning, which we see as a bit of an exaggeration. That said, these were not zinger questions, and it seems Hutchinson is trying to do a degree of fence walking on the woke culture war being waged against children. His answers simply do not inspire confidence and seem to be too slick by half. Tucker’s entire time with Hutchinson can be seen HERE:
Here is Senator Tim Scott with a lovely message, and a “grandstandy” way of completely dodging a tough question from Tucker:
Senator Scott did well on the border question though, but he started by trying to lower expectations and his answer lacked conviction until Tucker cornered him:
Former Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley also is playing the fence sitting game with Tucker and he exposes it pretty well. She realizes this is not going over well with the audience and takes more definitive stances on Tucker’s remaining questions.
The entire interview with Haley can be found HERE. Haley was the first candidate who helped herself more than she damaged herself. Glenn Beck interviewed Kari Lake about Haley’s answers and Lake explained why it seems like the candidates who have spoken with Tucker so far come across like the “B-team.”
Governor Ron DeSantis did well at the summit. The DeSantis campaign so far has been a disaster. The Consultants have him delivering wooden, cookie cutter messages that have tanked his poll numbers. With Tucker Carlson, DeSantis spoke from his heart and just let her rip:
As well Governor DeSantis did, he was perhaps only best by biotech CEO Vivek Ramaswamy who calls himself “MAGA at the next level.” To say that Ramaswamy came prepared is a bit of an understatement. This is very much worth your time:
NOTE: Please pay close attention to what Ramaswamy says about the Ukraine war, that the biggest danger to the United States and the free world is that the war is pushing Russia and China together in an alliance and that is why the war must be put to an end quickly. He is the only one outside of Trump to say it. We said this in March.
Interesting
Pence is a mannequin. Part of the Swamp. Is it just me or are the normies dropping IQ points in droves?????
