Karoline Leavitt Tells the White House Correspondents' Association to Pound Sand.
This changes everything
The Trump Administration has changed the way the White House press corps works.
Most Americans might not be aware that the people allowed in the room where the White House Daily Briefing takes place was controlled by the “White House Correspondents Association” - or in short, the worst of the worst of corrupt corporate media. This is why those who watch the briefing have ben subjected to a constant stream of idiotic questions, hostility and passive aggressive accusations in the form of questions for decades.
No more.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that the White House Press Office will decide who gets in the room and has announced that they are going to have a revolving pool of people from small town newspapers, podcasters, radio hosts and more independent journalists in the room who have the privilege of being able to address the spokesperson for the President.
Being in the room means having the power to control the narrative. Corporate media just lost a great degree of that power.
