Fulton County judge denies black man bail because he supports Trump.
The only one denied bail in the Trump persecution.
Political Arena readers are well aware of the novel, many say ridiculous, legal theories used to press charges against President Trump, many of his staff and even his attorneys on RICO charges for using every legal means they could to protest the unconstitutional way Georgia carried out it’s 2020 election. Several of the same unlawful shenanigans were repeated in the 2022 election.
Harrison Floyd is the only black male defendant accused in the politically charged lawsuit. He is the founder of “Black Voices for Trump.” So of course, the Democrat judge denied bond so he could not post bail.
Judge Emily Kay Richardson declared Floyd to be a “flight risk” in spite of the facts that he did not require a subpoena, he showed up voluntarily from out of state, and surrendered to the court. How can Floyd be a flight risk when he voluntarily turned himself in? We will say what is obvious, because Floyd is black.
Harrison Floyd cannot afford to defend himself from a RICO lawsuit, so the Dominion Law Center has started a GiveSendGo to help him raise the necessary funds. Please contribute!
This cruel treatment in violation of the 8th Amendment has not gone unnoticed and significant pushback has begun. Famed lawyers Robert Barnes and Viva Frei displayed their outrage on their weekly law podcast:
Once again, the left has failed to grasp the concept of “too far.”
The optics of this got much worse for Fulton County Democrats as even local corporate media reported the story. Citing said bad optics, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis asked the court to allow Floyd to post bail. Judge Scott McAfee set Floyd’s bail at $100,000, which is still an outrageous amount, but at least with the help of GiveSendGo he was able to post bond.
Floyd said the Fulton County gave him what is called a “Negro Wake Up Call” for not supporting Democrats.
