Education Department Issues Rule Protecting Free Speech On College Campuses
Education Sec. Betsy DeVos
The Trump Administration has kept it's promise to uphold free speech on campus with new federal regulations. The rules uphold the rights of students and academics to free speech, freedom of association and freedom of expressive association. Student groups, especially religious ones, cannot be discriminated against. Universities that violate these rules, and many have, will face a loss of federal grants. Private universities that promise to uphold free speech, will be required to do so as if such rules are part of a contract with the students.
This is a giant leap forward in civil rights as Marxists on campus have discriminated against those who buck Marxist orthodoxy.
