CorpoMedia Spins Laura Loomer Having COVID
Alex Jones, the corporate media and the Twitterati have something in common. They take an element of truth and hype it up/spin it to the point where their narrative becomes dishonest.
Look at this nonsense that is linked on DrudgeReport from The Wrap:
Right-Wing Activist Laura Loomer Has ‘Brutal’ Case of COVID After Claiming It’s No Worse Than Food Poisoning. ”Pray for me please,“ asks political media figure.
Right-wing activist Laura Loomer confirmed this week she has COVID-19 and the symptoms have been “brutal.” In the past, she expressed an interest in contracting the virus so she could prove it’s no worse than food poisoning.
“Just pray for me please,” she wrote on Gettr, a social media platform launched by Jason Miller, a former spokesperson for Donald Trump. “Can’t even begin to explain how brutal the body aches and nausea that come with covid are. I am in so much pain. This is honestly the worst part about it.”
Last year, Loomer said she wanted to “get COVID” just to prove she’d had “bouts of food poisoning that are more serious and life threatening than a hyped up virus.”
Notice that The Wrap did not actually link to her actual GETTR posts, they linked to some far left Twitterati account that posted screen shots that are not very convincing.
So we went to Loomer's actual GETTR posts:
Does this really match the hype? The Wrap's "source" does not even quote Loomer accurately and they left out that she is still working from home.
We are not endorsing or critiquing her point of view, but we do have a problem with the dishonest nature corpomedia conducts itself.
In the interests of full disclosure, yours truly had COVID early on and it was like having the flu. It lasted for about five days and it was certainly unpleasant. Yours truly has also had food poisoning a few times and even a bad flu does not compare to a genuine case of food poisoning, but anyone can have a different experience.
Yours truly does not drink or smoke and takes supplements to boost cardiovascular and immune health. We realize that people who do not take care of themselves, or have co-morbidities, are elderly, or have genetics that make them more vulnerable, can make COVID very dangerous. As always when it comes to your health one should consult with local experts such as doctors and nutritionists.
