Bill O'Reilly Destroys Democrat's Latest Trump/Russian Conspiracy Talking Point

Propagandists depend on the targets ignorance. This is why half truths spun into a dishonest narrative is often so effective, because it “sounds true.”

What is amazing to PoliticalArena is that there are some prominent Democrats such as Adam Schiff and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse who are still pushing the Trump/Russian conspiracy angle even after many of their allies have acknowledged that it was all made up to smear Donald Trump.

The other question is, why do some politicians do this knowing full well that it damages their credibility, especially with independent voters who know better?

The reason is quite simple. The elections are a long way off right now, so by appealing to there 24% of people who are their nutty base, they can use these outrageous lies to fund raise off those people. It is the old “There is a sucker born every minute, and you can fool some of the people all of the time.” They are banking on independent voters forgetting all about this by the time the next election rolls up.
