Our take: In the long run Trump prevails. They just confirmed everything Trump said about rigged courts which will then translate into confirming everything he has said about rigged elections.

The likelihood of this verdict being overturned on appeal is all but certain due to a multitude of reversible errors made by the judge, coupled with what some legal analysts from CNN and NBC have described as the most shocking and unconstitutional jury instructions they have ever witnessed. Furthermore, the judge and prosecutors not only misinterpreted the law, but their sole direct fact witness is Michael Cohen, who has confessed to being a habitual perjurer.

Getting back to the jury instructions, Judge Merchan told the jury that they do not have to be unanimous on what crime they think Trump is guilty of, so long that he is guilty of something. That is unprecedented and goes against centuries of jurisprudence. Judge Merchan in violation of ethics rules even donates to a group called “Stop Republicans.”

It is most unlikely the corrupt judge Merchan will go for jail time as they would hyper accelerate kicking this up either through the state appeals process or the US Supreme Court as state election interference, in which case the Supreme Court would overturn this 9-0.
